Our thanks to Fr. Denis Carter who has kindly prepared intercessions for the 6th Sunday of Easter .

PRIEST: We have heard and listened to the word of God and we are challenged to see and treat everyone with respect and dignity and enable all the nations to love and praise God. We call and the Lord to help us show that love for all.

READER: Recognising that God lives in our midst, Help us to keep God’s word in our hearts. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.

READER: We pray for those shunned and despised because of illness, disfigurement or of lifestyle. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for Missionaries who go to the nations and help people discover kingdom of God among them. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for the world’s leaders and diplomats that they may work together to create a just peace and hope in this war torn world. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for the marginalised people among us and that together we might build a more inclusive community. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for all who are sick and for all who are in hospital that they may be given the loving care and treatment they need. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for those who have recently died… and for all our dead… and for all who mourn that they may be comforted. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.

Let us ask Mary the Mother of the Lord to pray with us. Hail Mary …

In the silence of our hearts, let us pray for our own families and friends.

PRIEST: Almighty and everliving God, we give thanks for making your home with us. Help us to be ready to share that blessing with all who are in need; we ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN.

Let us pray...
