A passion for justice, a desire for peace and a concern for the integrity of God's creation are all essential to the living out of the Gospel.

Advocacy is an activity by an individual or a group that aims to influence decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions.

It means engaging with those institutions to ensure that they uphold our faith’s values: respect for the dignity of every person, justice for those who are marginalised and/or living in poverty, and care for the natural world.

In other words, campaigning is about educating ourselves about the root causes of injustices and putting our faith into action! A more just world is possible, but it’s only possible if each one of us gets involved.

“Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

Proverbs 31:9

“You shall not oppress a sojourner. You know the heart of a sojourner, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.”
