PRIEST: Let us rejoice with all our hearts for the Spirit of the Lord has been given to us. As we prepare for his coming we pray for his help to be bringers of justice and help for those in need.
READER: As disciples of Christ we have been anointed to bring good news to the poor and heal broken hearts, May we show true care for the weakest among us. Come Lord Jesus: Do not Delay.
As we prepare for the Day of the Lord, may our hearts be filled with integrity and joy. Come Lord Jesus: Do not Delay.
Let us pray for missionaries everywhere, especially those far from home and family. May they be blessed with what they most need at this time. Come Lord Jesus: Do not Delay.
We pray especially for those, who are enslaved and unjustly deprived of liberty and freedom. May we work for justice and salvation in our world. Come Lord Jesus: Do not Delay.
We pray for the poor and homeless a this time, may we come to the aid of the most vulnerable in our society. Come Lord Jesus: Do not Delay.
Let us pray for the people of the many lands plagued by conflict and violence. Those trying to rebuild their lives and homes amid the destruction around them. Come Lord Jesus: Do not Delay.
We remember especially the sick, those in hospital and those who are housebound, those of our own families wherever they may be. Come Lord Jesus: Do not Delay.
Let us pray for those who have recently died… and for all our dead… and for all who mourn that they may be comforted. Come Lord Jesus: Do not Delay..
Let us ask Mary the Mother of the Lord to pray with us: Hail Mary…

PRIEST: Almighty and ever-living God
as we look forward in faith to the feast of our Lord’s birth, grant that we may experience the happiness that our Saviour brings and joyfully celebrate his coming.
