PRIEST: We have heard and listened to the word of God and we are challenged to see and treat everyone with respect and dignity. We call and the Lord to help us in our need.
READER: Recognising that we are the living temples of the Holy Spirit, we ask the Lord to help us see others that way. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.
READER: We pray for those shunned and despised because of illness, disfigurement or of lifestyle. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us
Let us pray for the unemployed. We pray for those unable to find work, the displaced and those without the means to provide for their families. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.
Let us pray for peace and reconciliation amongst all nations and peoples. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.
Let us pray for the marginalised people among us and that together we might build a more inclusive community. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.
Let us pray for all who are sick and for all who are in hospital that they may be given the care and treatment they need. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.
Let us pray for those who have recently died… and for all our dead… and for all who mourn that they may be comforted. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us
In the silence of our hearts, let us pray for our own families and friends.
Let us ask Mary the Mother of the Lord to pray with us. Hail Mary …
PRIEST: Almighty and everliving God,
we give thanks for the gift of being your blessed temples.
Help us to be ready to share that blessing with all who are in need;
we ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN.
