INTERCESSIONS FOR THE 5th SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (B)

PRIEST: Today we are reminded by the word of God that we have a duty to proclaim the Gospel, let us proclaim it with joy and give thanks to the Lord for the help he grants in our need.

READER: May we be aware of the suffering of God’s people enslaved by debt and unjust political systems. Help us come to their aid led by the love of God. Lord in your Mercy, hear Our Prayer

We pray for those oppressed by depression, illness and infirmity. May the health and social services and carers be given the means to care for their patients welfare. Lord in your Mercy, hear Our Prayer

Let us pray for all young people. May their faith be inspired and strengthened and renewed in their vocations, all servants of God. Lord in your Mercy, hear Our Prayer

Let us pray for Missionaries. May they be strengthened and encouraged in their love of God and service of the people. Lord in your Mercy, hear Our Prayer

Let us pray for people of the world who risk their lives for the process of peace and justice. Lord in your Mercy, hear Our Prayer

Let us pray for the international rescue services, those working in war zones and places of natural disasters. May their courageous and selfless dedication inspire more people to join them and help save the lives of those in danger. Lord in your Mercy, hear Our Prayer

Let us pray for those who have recently died… and for all our dead…

Let us ask Mary the Mother of the Lord to pray with us. Hail Mary …

PRIEST: God, our heavenly Father,
we give thanks and praise for the gift of being your people.
May we be always ready to share the Gospel of Hope in word and deed with all who are
in need;
we ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN.
