The Columban Missionaries in Britain are marking Laudato Si’ Week (21-28 May) and the feast of Pentecost in a special way this year. A group of us will be following in the footsteps of St. Columban, as pilgrims walking across Cornwall.
We want you to experience this pilgrimage too.
Register to become a ‘virtual’ pilgrim and we will send you emails before and during the pilgrimage filled with materials for reflection, including prayers, video clips from Columban Missionaries around the world, and extracts from the sermons of St. Columban, Pope Francis’ ground-breaking encyclical Laudato Si’ and from scripture. There will be questions for you to ponder and an invitation to a live stream Laudato Si’ themed Pilgrimage Mass on 25th May.
‘Virtual’ pilgrims will be invited to share with us your intentions for us to pray for as we walk.
There will be no pressure (or blisters!). You’ll be able to choose which bits of the pilgrimage you want to engage with and do things in your own time, on your own or as a community.
We hope that this will be a way for you, our supporters and fellow missionaries, to act in solidarity with us as we walk, with communities around the world, and with creation.
We look forward to your company and presence among us.
