The first session of the Edinburgh Jesuit Centre Lenten Series- celebrating the 8th Anniversary of Pope Francis’ election was an exploration of’ Francis and Social Justice with the Pope’s biographer and author of ‘Let Us Dream’, Austen Ivereigh. Jesus, in his journey to the margins of society, is at the heart of Francis’ teaching on social justice the speaker suggested. He reflected on the fruitfulness of Francis’ teaching and witness, in light of the Pope’s reference to the tension between the centre and the margins of society.
