Prayer for the Sixth Anniversary of Laudato Si’

The theme for Laudato Si' Week 2021 is, "for we know that things can change" (Laudato Si', 13). Laudato Si' Week will herald new announcements from the Vatican to encourage, inspire and support Catholics, and all people of goodwill, to better care for our earthly home through the implementation of the Vatican's new Laudato Si' Action Platform and Goals. This new Laudato Si' Action Platform will be announced on May 24th 2021.

Prayer for the Sixth Anniversary of Laudato Si'

Loving God,

Open our minds and touch our hearts so that we may attend to your gift of creation …
Now more than ever may we feel that we are all connected and interdependent;
enable us to listen and respond to the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor.
May the present sufferings be the birth pangs of a more fraternal and sustainable world.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
