World Day of the Sick is celebrated on 11th February. It is an observation started by Pope John Paul II as a way for believers to offer prayers for those suffering from illnesses. We celebrate those who care for us; friends, family and loved ones and not forgetting doctors, nurses and health workers.
Lord,
For all the doctors and nurses.
For all the family, friends, and neighbours
For all who care about me when I'm down
I ask your blessing upon them all.
May your face shine upon them and bless me.
May you gaze favourably upon them and look after them.
May you look upon them with kindness,
And give them your pace.
