Prayer for the 62nd World Day for Vocations

Below is a prayer for the 62nd World Day for Vocations adapted in memory of Pope Francis, who died last month.

Prayer for the 62nd World Day of Prayer for Vocations

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the life and witness of Pope Francis, who taught us to recognise the beauty of our vocation as a divine calling, rooted in love.

With gratitude in our hearts, we remember his invitation to become “pilgrims of hope and peace” in the world, living our lives in response to your call.

Send your Spirit upon your Church, that all your people - ordained, consecrated, married and single - may live their vocations with joy, courage, and fidelity.

Bless those you are calling today, especially the young, to serve you in priesthood and religious life. Give them the grace to respond with generous hearts, and support them with communities of faith and love.

As we journey together toward your Kingdom, may we be faithful to the path you set before us, living as signs of hope for the Church and for the world.

Amen.
