Christ among us
Almighty, ever-living God, we thank you for the gift of our faith in Jesus Christ, whom you raised from the dead.
Help us to truly believe that, since he has conquered once and for all the long winter of sin, evil and death, we have no reason to be discouraged, nothing to fear.
Enable us to welcome with gratitude and joy the new and eternal spring that his resurrection has opened up before us.
Deepen our faith in the risen Christ who comes to us and unites himself with us in the celebration of the Mass.
May he always remain with us as a faithful friend and guide on the road of life.
Teach us also to recognise the risen Christ in our brothers and sisters, especially those who are ignored and forgotten or despised by the world around us.
Grant us hearts and hands to collaborate with the risen Christ in renewing the face of the earth, so that all creation may experience the joy of the Easter season.
We make this prayer to you, our faithful and loving God, through Jesus, our Saviour and Lord.
