A prayer for COP16
Heavenly Father,
As delegates gather for COP16, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom. Inspire all participants to recognise the urgent need to protect the biodiversity of our planet, a precious gift from You.
May their discussions be infused with a spirit of collaboration and compassion, reflecting the values upheld by the Columban Missionaries, care for creation, justice for the marginalised, and a commitment to building a sustainable future for all.
Lord, help us to see the interconnectedness of all living things, and ignite in us a passion for safeguarding our environment. Grant our leaders the courage to make bold decisions that honour the Earth and uphold the dignity of every creature.
Let our hearts be moved to action, advocating for policies that protect our fragile ecosystems and promote harmony between humanity and nature.
Through the intercession of St. Columban, may we be inspired to live out our faith in tangible ways, fostering a spirit of stewardship that reflects Your love for the world.
We ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who came to bring life in abundance.
