Why prayers are important
Every member of the Church is called to play a part in the Church’s mission, to be missionary disciples. When we communicate with God through prayer, we give thanks and praise for God’s enduring love and mercy. With Easter approaching, we have shared prayers for Easter from The Prayer Trust to help each of us prepare for the coming of Christ.
Easter Prayer
As the sun rises at dawn
to bring light to the world
so you rose that Easter morn,
the true light to shine into the darkness of our lives.
You bring us fresh hope in the wonder of your love,
a love that even death itself could overcome:
Risen Lord, we thank you.
