Their Christmas Carol for Day 1 is from the Region of Ireland and features Lay Missionaries, Kyungja Lee and Angie Escarsa singing the classic Christmas Carol ‘Silent Night’ in gaelic (Oíche Chiúin), accompanied by ordained members in Dalgan Park.
We are delighted to share with you a Christmas Carol from Myanmar Mission Unit for Day 2. The song title is Madu Shangai Shana (The Night Christ was Born) and is performed by Lay Missionary Lenette Toledo (last on right) and staff members of the Diocesan Commission on Education (DCE) in Banmaw, Myanmar.
Day 3 of the Columban Christmas Carol series comes from the region of Britain featuring Lay Missionaries, Chua Hui Ling, Chee Tzu Ting Sophia, Kim Jung-Hae Roberta, Gertrudes Samson and Nathalie Marytsch together with ordained and co-workers.
It is our great pleasure to share with you a Christmas Carol and season’s greetings from the Region of Korea for Day 4. Lay Missionary Noh Hye-In Anna is joined by ordained, students and co-workers in the region.
It is our honour to share with you a Mandarin language rendition of Silent Night from the Taiwan Mission Unit for Day 5. They sing 平安夜 (Ping An Ye) ‘Silent Night’, followed by 我們祝你聖誕快樂 (Women Zhu Ni Sheng Dan Kuai Le) ‘We wish you a Merry Christmas’.
Carols for Day 6 come from the Region of the Philippines performed by Lay Missionaries, ordained, co-workers and people in their ministries.
Day 7’s carol comes from the volunteers of the HOPE Workers’ Centre (HWC) in Taiwan. We are grateful to lay missionaries, Sherryl Capili and Joan Yap for sharing this uplifting video from the Filipino volunteers at HWC.
