Our Christmas gift

by Stephen Awre

As a thankyou for all your support over the past year, the Columban Missionaries in Britain wish to share with you a special Christmas gift.

As the festive season approaches, and we embrace this time of preparation and joy, we extend our warmest Christmas wishes to you and your loved ones. Your unwavering support throughout 2024 has been a source of strength and hope, enabling us to continue our mission in solidarity with the poor. You have prayed with us, and your generosity and kindness have touched many lives around the world. Every letter, email and call we receive from you means so much to us. Whether as Far East subscribers, or as donors who respond to our appeals and give generously to our parishes, projects and ministries, your constant presence is a blessing for which we are ever grateful. Be assured that Columban missionaries across the world, from Santiago de Chile to Labasa in Fiji, will remember you especially in their prayers and Masses over the Christmas season.

In 2025, a year of Jubilee, we are called to be ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. Let us journey together in solidarity through the forthcoming twelve months, bringing hope to the stranger and the Earth, our common home.

2024 has been a Year of Prayer and, as a token of our gratitude, we gift to you prayers for the season of Advent and Christmas by Fr. Pat Sayles of The Prayer Trust.
