A pilgrim group of ordained and lay Columban missionaries and co-workers, led by our Director, Fr John Boles, will walk from Padstow to Fowey in Cornwall from 24-27 May 2023.
Drawing inspiration from St Columban, our patron, who embarked on his missionary journey to Europe more than 1400 years ago, we will call to mind as we walk the people and places served by Columban Missionaries today, in Britain and around the world, who are crying out for peace and justice, and ask what positive action we can take to bring about a fairer world.
In partnership with St Mary’s parish and primary school in Bodmin and diocesan representatives from CAFOD, Caritas and the Youth Ministry, there will be a live-streamed Mass on Thursday 25th May and all are welcome!

The Columban Missionaries are visiting parishes in the diocese of Plymouth during 2023 for the annual Mission Appeal. Knowing that St Columban journeyed through Cornwall on his way to France, this year became an ideal opportunity to walk the Columban Way.
We begin this pilgrimage humbled and very grateful for the generosity, kindness and hospitality we are receiving from parishes.
