INTERCESSIONS FOR THE 4th SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (C)

PRIEST: Today we have heard and listened to the word of God, let us proclaim our joy and give thanks to the Lord for the help he grants in our need.

READER: May we always recognise that we are God's people, called by love, we ask the Lord to help us live up to that calling. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

READER: We pray for Christian communities throughout the world that we may be seen as a people who not only worship, but follow God in word and deed. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for all young people. May their faith be inspired and inspiring in their vocations as married couples, single, religious, priests, all servants and signs of God's Love. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for Missionaries sent to the nations. May their work and witness to the Gospel promote justice and a world of peace and hope for future generations. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for the poor of the world facing the horrors of war and conflict. May we play our part in the process of peace and reconciliation. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for all who are sick and for all who are in hospital that they may be aware that the Lord is with them in their troubles. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for those who have recently died... and for all our dead... and for all who mourn that they may be comforted. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us

In the silence of our hearts, let us pray for our own families and friends.

Let us ask Mary the Mother of the Lord to pray with us. Hail Mary …

PRIEST: God, our heavenly Father, we give thanks and praise for the gift of being your people. Help us to be ready to share that blessing with all who are in need; we ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN.
