INTERCESSIONS FOR THE 5th SUNDAY OF EASTER (C)

PRIEST: Today we are reminded by the word of God that no matter how unworthy we
may feel, we are forgiven and sent to proclaim the Gospel in our lives and to show Love
for each other. So let us proclaim it with joy and give thanks to the Lord for the love he
grants in our need.

READER: We pray for our new King Charles III and Queen Camilla. May their service to
the Kingdom and Commonwealth be inspired by the Holy Spirit and a courageous sign
of unity and peace for our nations. Lord hear us. Lord graciously hear us.

Lord help us be aware of the suffering of God’s people especially the outcast, lost, and
unemployed, may we come to their aid led by the love of God. Lord hear us. Lord
graciously hear us.

We pray for those oppressed by depression, illness and infirmity. My the health services
and carers truly put their patients welfare before the cost. Lord hear us. Lord
graciously hear us.

Let us pray for all young people. In their answer to God’s call to them to be servants of
God. May their faith be inspired, strengthened and renewed. Lord hear us. Lord
graciously hear us.

Let us pray for Missionaries. May they be granted the faith and courage they need at
this time and renewed in their love of God and service of the people. Lord hear us.
Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for the world’s leaders and diplomats that all nations may work together for
justice and build a world of peace and hope for future generations. Lord hear us.
Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for those who risk their lives for the process of peace and justice. Lord hear
us. Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for those who have recently died… and for all our dead… and for all who
mourn that they may be comforted. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us

In the silence of our hearts, let us pray for our own families and friends.

Let us ask Mary the Mother of the Lord to pray with us. Hail Mary …

PRIEST: God, our heavenly Father,
we give thanks and praise for making all of creation new through the death and
resurrection of Our Lord Jesus and of being your people and making your home among
us.

May we be always ready to share the Gospel of Hope with all who are in need;
we ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN.
