INTERCESSIONS FOR THE 4th SUNDAY OF LENT

PRAYERS FOR THE 4th SUNDAY OF LENT

PRIEST: God, our Father loves the world so much and is constantly searching for his lost children May we repent and believe that God is our loving Father and so come to eternal life.

READER: As ambassadors for Christ we are entrusted with the wonderful news that we are reconciled to God. May we never fail to proclaim it to the world. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

As we prepare for Pascal mystery of our salvation, may we open our hearts to be filled with God’s love, integrity and joy. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

We pray for the worshipers of God everywhere, May we all sing for ever of his love and work together for justice and salvation in our world.

Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

We pray for all our Missionaries today, especially those working in hostile and dangerous places. May their faith and courage be strengthened and so bear witness to the loving and forgiving God of our Lord Jesus Christ. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

We remember especially the sick, those in hospital and those who are housebound, those of our own families wherever they may be. May they experience the love and compassion of God. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

Let us pray for those who have recently died... and for all our dead... and for all who mourn that they may be comforted. Lord hear us. Response: Lord graciously hear us.

Now let us pray for a few moments in silence for our own needs and intentions.

Let us ask Mary the Mother of the Lord to pray with us: Hail Mary…

PRIEST: Almighty and ever-living God as we look forward in faith to re-living the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. Grant that we may experience the reconciliation, renewal and eternal life that our Saviour promises. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN
