Congratulations Amy!

The Columban General Council and the Columban Lay Mission Central Leadership Team are pleased to announce that Amy W. Echeverria has been appointed as a Co-Coordinator of the Vatican's Ecology Taskforce.

Society leader of the Missionary Society of St. Columban, Fr. Tim Mulroy, has announced the appointment of the Society’s Central Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Coordinator, Amy W. Echeverria, as a Co-Coordinator of the Vatican’s Ecology Taskforce.

The Taskforce is a subdivision of the Dicastery for Promoting Human Development.

“Amy will bring her extensive experience in JPIC,” Fr. Tim wrote, “as well as her appreciation of the Columban charism to this important role at this critical time for the well-being of our Common Home.”

“We congratulate Amy on her appointment as Co-Coordinator,” the Society Leader added, “and wish her well in all her new endeavours.”

Amy will continue in her role as the Society’s Central JPIC Coordinator.

Amy has been a member of the Columban family, both as a Columban Co-worker and as a Columban Lay Missionary from the US in Chile for over 20 years.

We pray for Amy as she begins this service to the People of God, that she may experience the peace, joy and strength she will need for her role in this important Vatican Taskforce.

Congratulations, Amy!
