Prayer for the Centenary of the Missionary Sisters of St. Columban
Loving God,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude as we celebrate the centenary of the Missionary Sisters of St. Columban.
From the first seven to be professed and sent to China, to the present day, Columban Sisters have, answered Your call to preach the gospel with love and compassion for the poor whilst bringing the light of Christ to the farthest corners of the world. We thank You for their courage and their unwavering commitment.
Bless these sisters, past and present, who have dedicated their lives to serving the poor, the marginalized, and the forgotten. May their legacy of selfless service inspire us all to live out the Gospel with renewed zeal and devotion.
As we commemorate this milestone, we ask You to continue to guide and protect the Missionary Sisters of St. Columban. Strengthen them in their mission, and fill them with the Holy Spirit. May their work bear fruit in abundance, drawing all people closer to You.
We also pray for those they have touched through their ministries, that they may experience the fullness of life and love in Christ. And as we honour this centenary, may we be reminded of our own call to be missionaries in our daily lives, sharing Your love and mercy with all we meet.
